Let yourself been taken of the beaten track! Hit the trail through the fairytale nature of the Bohemian Swiss NP and the Lusatian Mountains. This piece of land had been admired for its uniqueness since the 19th century. It did not change much since then. You will enjoy the wild forrest, sandstone rock towers, deep gorges. Countless viewpoints and the beauty of the folk architecture will finish the picture. Travel in time as you will use the historical coaches, boats and steam train to travel between the hiking parts. Feel noble as those who first have uncovered and truly enjoyed the local marvells have been the old noble families since some 18-19th century!

Route A - 8 days / 7 nights
Arrival to Děčín

Individual arrival to Děčín - flight to Prague or Dresden. This day is yours to explore the capital of the Bohemian Swiss NP.
After the breakfast we transfer you to Lusatian Mountains for your first hiking. The tour starts with conquering of the castle ruin Tolštejn. Then you continue to Jedlová hora with a lookout tower with beautiful views. By descending from the hill Jedlová you will visit a pilgrim chapel on the top of the Křížová hora (Cross hill) with the calvary. Then you leave the Lusatian mountains and slowly you will slip in the National Park Bohemian Switzerland. You will stay overnight in a cosy heart of the park - the town Krásná Lípa with national park museum, local brewery and chocolate manufacture.
This day you will discover the Jetřichovice lookouts. You will start with a climb to the Maria's rock with wooden gazebo on its top that offers breathtaking view of the Bohemian Switzerland. Hierfrom you will continue a ridge trail with many other beautiful views. On your way to Mezní Louka you will also conquer a castle ruin Šaunštejn guarding the historical merchant route and meet remarkable sand stone rock formation Malá Pravčická brána (Little Pravčice gate)
Immerse yourself in the area's bizarre sandstone formations. You will see Pravčická brána sandstone arch, where Hans Christian Andersen dreamt up fairy tales, and later parts of the Chronicles of Narnia were filmed. The hike along the rock towers high above the Elbe valley offers you unforgettable experiences, which will then be the highlight of your hiking tour with the boat trip in the Wild Gorge. Optional short trip with the historic Saxon-Bohemian National Park Express to Mezní Louka.
In the morning we will pick you up with your luggage and transfer you to the start of the last hiking to Dolní Žleb. You will climb up to the top of the sand stone rocks surrounded by the deepest river canyon in Europe to the Belvedere lookout point near Labská Stráň. The whole day will be full of great romantic views from several natural and historicalqqq viewpoints. The day tour ends in the city of Děčín in the same hotel, where you have started.
Route B - 4 days / 3 nights
Distance: 8/15 km
Individual arrival in Děčín and welcome meeting. Individual/organized personal transfer from Děčín to the accommodation. Start of the hike in Jetřichovice. You start with a climb to the Maria Rock with a wooden gazebo on its top, which offers a breathtaking view of the Bohemian Switzerland. From here you continue on the ridge path with many more beautiful views.
Distance: 8/13 km
Explore the serene river valley near Jetřichovice, leading to the atmospheric ruins of Dolský Mlýn, an old water mill. For history enthusiasts, a climb to the Šaunštejn castle ruins reveals the secrets of a medieval merchant route. Adventurous hikers can visit Falkenštejn castle and the Malá Pravčická Brána, a smaller sandstone arch reminiscent of the park’s larger formations.
A highlight of the journey awaits with the Pravčická Brána, Europe’s largest natural sandstone arch. This stunning natural formation has inspired countless artists and writers, including H.C. Andersen. A scenic trail through forested hills offers spectacular views before concluding with a serene dinghy boat trip through the Wild Gorge, immersing you in the natural beauty of the region.
Distance: 7/12 km
Conclude your journey in the Tisá rock labyrinth, a sandstone wonderland featured in The Chronicles of Narnia. Wander through towering rock formations and, for a final adventure, ascend Sněžník Mountain. At 723 meters, its lookout tower provides sweeping views of the picturesque, rolling hills of Bohemian Switzerland.
This itinerary offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural history, and serene landscapes for an unforgettable hiking experience.

Accommodation is one of the most important parts of each trip that strongly influences the final look of it. We make our best to offer you the best possible accommodation in the prefered category. The hotels we offer are either comfortable small hotels or quite guesthouses both in 3* quality, all of it rather small and with personality than big chain. Lukas and his team was sensitive to our needs and were extremely flexible. The Prague city tour, in the day before leaving for the route is highly recommended! Helps everyone get to know the bike and make adjustments if needed and also get to know the abilities of the members of the group.
We really enjoyed the trip and the kind and professional services of the EBT team. I highly recommend the route from Prague to Drezn and definitely do it with the EBT team!
